Gorilla Tripod

Joby GP2-E1EN Gorillapod Flexible Tripod for Digital SLR Cameras

Our Rating: 5 out of 5

The Gorilla Tripod is probably one of the coolest tripods that I have ever seen or used.

From first glance, it isn't the largest tripod on the market. It is however quite dynamic.

The Gorilla has three flexible legs. You can bend these legs in any way that you want.

You can wrap them around things, bend them to fit odd angles, and you can even move them all together for tight storage spaces.

The Gorilla Tripod fits easily into a purse, backpack, or a large pocket. After traveling, you can extend the legs to fit just about any surface. Gorilla is surprisingly stable, so you don't have to worry about your camera or other device falling and getting damaged.

You can attach your camera using a standard universal 1/4-20 screw. This is perfect if you are just looking for a normal tripod. Or, if you are a little more adventurous, it is perfect for taking wild and crazy photos at unusual angles.

You can attach the tripod to any surface – any pole, floor, incline, etc. I would imagine that it would be great for making skate videos and other fun activities.

Imagine how much cooler the action of grinding a rail would look if the camera was positioned somewhere under the rail. You can truly achieve almost any camera angle and look like a pro with the Gorilla Tripod.

Other than functioning well, the Gorilla Tripod looks great. If you are using in public, especially in a creative way, you will probably have a few people asking you where you got it. It is sometimes difficult to manipulate  into the perfect position, but it gets easier with practice. The legs can be hard to move at times. With a little patience, you can get it to do just about anything.
